Description
Duties and responsibilities we'll trust you with

  • Contributing to a positive and safe work environment by modelling conduct that is culturally capable, inclusive, respectful and ethical
  • Supporting the delivery of high quality, inclusive, creative and engaging programs onsite, online, to public libraries or Indigenous Knowledge Centres while meeting State Library's service commitments
  • Participating in one of the high performing Public Libraries & Engagement teams in the delivery of programs and events while ensuring professional and responsive services to clients. This includes undertaking day to day work, achieving key service objectives and meeting organisational priorities
  • Developing and delivering activities in accordance with program guidelines. This includes preparing session plans, delivering sessions and interacting with diverse audiences
  • Providing information and advice to members of the public about activities, programs, and resources available in State Library
  • Coordinating and ensuring records management is undertaken and that key system and platforms are maintained such as updating relevant databases and visitor information records or assisting with onsite records creation
  • Providing supervision as required. This includes preparation of rosters, undertaking Personal Performance Planning, and providing a point of escalation for issues to ensure the smooth running of services
  • Participating in internal committees, projects and working groups while collaborating with other teams across State Library. This includes providing high quality community and internal stakeholder engagement
  • Contributing to business improvement activities ensuring relevant policies, procedures and guidelines meet best practice and State Library requirements. This includes a continuous improvement cycle for feedback, raising concerns and generating solutions
  • Working effectively with colleagues and peers while contributing to a productive and positive work environment in times of change and uncertainty. This includes being a proactive member of the Public Libraries & Engagement Portfolio and providing guidance and/or mentoring to casual employees and/or volunteers ensuing they are included, supported and wellinformed
  • Participating in, contributing to and/or managing financial, human resource and/or ICT responsibilities as per the organisational delegations
