Wood is seeking expressions of interest from
QMI Technician with proven Oil & Gas Maintenance experience to join our team., at the Ampol Refinery.
For 10+ years, Wood has held a Maintenance contract at Lytton, and have been heavily imbedded into the Ampol culture with a strong focus on team alignment across the contracting teams.
This role will play a pivotal part in the continued support of our maintenance contract at Ampol, as well as being a part of a supportive and innovative team.

- Exceptional communication skills.
- Must be Electrical Trade Qualified with proven maintenance experience in heavy industry environment,
- Demonstrated the principles, practices and execution of Instrument and Electrical Equipment maintenance.
- Demonstrate fault finding and troubleshooting on Instrument and Electrical Equipment
- Working experience on the following QMI Analytical equipment. TCD, FID, FPD Gas Chromatographs, Continuous Gas Analysers, TDLS, Moisture Analysers, Sample Conditioning Systems.
- Show initiative and contribute ideas and constructive advice to solve operational and maintenance problems or increase efficiency or unit reliability.
- Highlight issues and solutions to responsible Supervisors /Engineers
- Able to work autonomously & multitask
- Skilled in the maintenance of the following equipment
- ICSS/DCS Systems
- Analysers and related sample system
- QMI Systems
- Turbine Control Systems
- PLC's
- Control and SD Valves
- Vibration Monitoring systems
- General Instrumentation
Skills/Qualifications
- Trade certificate and QLD Electrical trade licence is essential (Electrical Mechanic, Electrical Fitter/Mechanic, Instrumentation)
- Dual trade qualification in electrical/instrumentation is
required , with a
Cert III in Instrument and Control: - Cert IV in Hazardous Areas (EEHA) required
Prior Vendor Gas Chromatograph Training (ABB, Yokogwawa, Rosemount)
:
- Working knowledge of SAP required
- LVR/CPR required
- High voltage switching operations (desirable)
- Working at Heights and High risk EWP licence (desirable)
