The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Design Drafter to join our Primary Engineering Team in either QLD or NSW.


You will work on innovative high voltage infrastructure projects for the National Electricity Grid including substations, grid connections, and battery storage.

Supporting the design and construction of our projects, delivering high quality results, to meet standards and project deadlines.


This will include undertaking, managing and producing high quality design artefacts, technical documentation and other work tasks to agreed deadlines, standards and in accordance with the project plans.


Skills and Experiences:

About You

Experienced in HV Electrical Design Drafting, you will be proficient in AutoCAD and MicroStation, specialising in Primary Systems.


In this role, you will:


  • Interpret and implement design information provided by Primary Design Engineers, Civil Design Engineers and Design Managers
  • Produce CAD drawings in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD for compliance with client requirements and standards, and to ensure completeness prior to issuing for manufacturing/construction
  • Be outcome and customerfocused
  • Experience with 3D design highly regarded however not essential
  • Previous experience in substation design
  • Tertiary studies are highly regarded
