    About the role

    Viterra is seeking a Grain Classification and Equipment Technician to join our laboratory team in Thebarton. Working in our state-of-the-art laboratory, you will manage classification equipment to ensure that it is functional, calibrated and available for use in the laboratory and across operational sites.

    Duties include but not limited to

    • Actively engage with equipment suppliers to develop skills and knowledge of grain quality equipment.
    • Provide on-going equipment troubleshooting and training to operational and laboratory employees, and Field Services Officers.
    • Conduct, support and provide guidance on internal equipment servicing, repair and maintenance.
    • Maintain regulatory requirements and documentation for verification of equipment
    • Ensure laboratory equipment processes and procedures are aligned with applicable regulatory requirements (ISO 22000:2018, ISO 17025 and ISO 17034 for NATA accreditation, NMI, GTA Standards and AOF Standards).
    • Research and assist with the development of new technologies, methods of assessment and industry initiatives.

    About you

    • Mechanical skills with experience in supporting grain quality and classification equipment preferred.
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and proactive.
    • Proven ability to network and build strong professional relationships.
    • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and proactively manage stakeholders and conflicting priorities.
