As a Partnerships Coordinator, you will:

As the Partnerships Coordinator, your role is to establish, build and manage stakeholder partnerships that support the Faculty of Business and Law in achieving its strategic goals through industry engagement activities.


You will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the successful delivery of strategically aligned projects, events, and other activities with key internal and external stakeholders to increase educational market share, brand awareness, industry recognition, graduate outcomes and assist in driving associated revenue.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with key external stakeholders and individuals within industry and alumni to foster support including but not limited to networking, mentoring, and career opportunities for students and graduates, research opportunities and funding
  • Assessment and development of projects initiated by academic staff to determine whether they have sufficient value for Faculties and Schools, consistent with its strategic aims.
  • Development and project management of projects, events, and activities to increase industry engagement, including responsibility for delivery within budget
  • Planning and execution of engagement activities including the creation of documentation to support engagement activities
  • Identify opportunities for continued development and promotion of the Deakin brand in industry
  • Provide product development and marketing support for the release of new products which are either a part of core offerings or adjunct (for instance, new specialist intensive units or executive education)

To be successful, you'll have:


  • Appropriate tertiary qualification or equivalent
  • Experience in a community engagement or public relations role
  • Welldeveloped business and community networks
  • Experience developing relationships and networks with government, industry and nongovernment organisations and providers
  • Experience in business development and/ or the generation of new business opportunities in a tertiary environment
