Role Description/Criteria

At Emmaus we hold the care, safety and wellbeing of children as a central and fundamental responsibility of our school.

Physical Education and wellbeing are important curriculum areas at Emmaus. We believe in educating the whole child - academically, physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

We are looking for a Physical Education and wellbeing teacher who would like to teach Year - Year 6 students from Tuesday - Thursday.

This teacher would be part of the Physical Education team, planning and teaching together.

The applicant will possess the understandings, skills and ability to implement high expectations for all. You will have excellent communication skills and are team orientated.

Being prepared to learn and grow as well as open to new ways of working is an essential part of this role.

You will be effective in managing and facilitating safe and supportive learning environments with an understanding of positive student wellbeing practices.

In addition, successful applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

commitment to the Catholic Ethos, the principles of Catholic teaching and an ability to live the school's vision and culture

- commitment to the Emmaus Child Safe Policy and the Staff Code of Conduct (both can be found on our website)

Special Requirements
- current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration
