Dargues Mine is a gold mining and milling operation located in the south-eastern NSW tablelands, approximately 60 kilometres (km) south-east of Canberra.

The facility includes an underground mine, processing plant and associated surface facilities.

Your Role
The Process Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Processing Plant and associated operational areas.


Location & Schedule


Dargues mine site located within an hour drive from Canberra, working on a 7 days on 7 days off day and night roster.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operating the relevant section of the process plant in an efficient manner
  • Diligently monitoring the relevant section's operational performance and taking timely action when required to maintain optimum performance
  • Regular check measurement of plant operating parameters and maintaining accurate log sheets and records as required
  • Provide detailed handovers to the oncoming Process Technician
  • Working effectively with other team members, maintenance and metallurgical staff to optimise plant performance
  • Adhering to procedures, including the 'Rules to Live By' and 'Green Rules
  • Utilising proactive safety systems such as Take 5's, JSEA's, hazard reports and workplace inspections
  • Promptly reporting all hazards, incidents and injuries
  • Correctly wearing all required PPE when required Being proactive towards their own as well as other's safe work practices as per the Duty of Care policy

About You

  • Current 'C' Class driver's licence
  • Occupational First Aid (desirable)
  • Cert III Mineral Processing (desirable)
  • English and numerical literacy
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Attention to detail, observant
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data and trends
  • Ability to work cohesively in a small team
  • Good communication skills and positive work attitude
  • Previous mineral processing experience (desirable)
  • Demonstrate good safety and environmental awareness
  • Good organisational and time management skills Ability to problem solve in a timely fashion
