About the role:

Casual opportunity to join Box Hill Institute at our Lilydale Lakeside Conferencing and Events Centre as our Housekeeper

As the Housekeeper, you will be responsible for daily housekeeping operations at the accommodation facility. This includes, cleaning, servicing, and maintaining villas both prior and post guest visits.

You will maintain hygienic standards of practice in all accommodation areas; cleaning and making up rooms to the highest standard in line with the hotel policy standards and within required timeframes.


You will display excellent customer service within the venue; confidentially and professionally greeting guests and providing a unique guest experience to everyone.


This position is based at our Lilydale Lakeside Conferencing and Events Centre which forms part of Box Hill Institute's Lilydale Lakeside Campus.

Our Lilydale campus is a fully transformed state of the art facility, which also includes vocational and higher education programs, an Integrated Childcare Centre, a leading edge Tech School, a Biosecurity Centre of Excellence, a Community Living Library and a range of facilities catering to the community needs.


About You:


  • Previous housekeeping experience is required
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Safe use of Chemicals knowledge (advantageous)
  • Demonstrated experience working in an accommodation environment attending to day to day operations
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team to achieve shared goals and flexibility during peak periods
  • Strong organisational skills
