Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Manager, Digital Systems to join Digital Business Solution, Administrative Division.


Collaborate with a team of IT professionals to keep systems at the cutting edge, tailor-made to end-user needs, and perfectly aligned with the long-term strategy of DBS, SSE, and the customers it serves.

Your expertise will shine as you facilitate and oversee system enhancements, implement game-changing innovations, and resolve incidents and requests with seamless precision.

Engaging with various stakeholders across SSE, DBS, and beyond, you'll harness your excellent communication skills to ensure that the needs of all parties are met, and strategic decisions regarding the lifecycle of digital systems are soundly informed.

What you need to succeed
Essential

  • Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to postgraduate qualification together with extensive relevant experience within an information technology area; or extensive management experience and proven management expertise within an information technology area.
  • Proven leadership ability with experience in maintaining a coherent team culture focused on achieving organisational goals.
  • Demonstrated advanced ability to cultivate and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships, partnerships and networks to anticipate and negotiate changes in client expectations and requirements.
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills, including the ability to establish positive working relationships with management, inspire employees and influence internal clients and external organisations in delivering high quality business solution options for QUT.
  • Proven success in contributing to or leading projects (with a focus on process enhancement leveraging technology solutions) that balance the requirements of performance, security and user functionality/friendliness in a diverse and rapidly changing university environment.
  • High level verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to consult and liaise with staff and stakeholders at relevant levels, and to produce high quality reports (including current and future state process documentation, project plans etc).
Desirable

  • Experience in supporting digital platforms such as contemporary digital experience platforms, CRMs, member, student or staff portals etc. in a higher education institution setting.
