My client is a reputable producer of innovative, trusted products in the outdoor consumer industry. They design, engineer and manufacture industry-leading equipment that inspires adventure.

Role and Responsibilities**- Develop a winning product strategy aligned with company goals

Conduct market research to uncover trends, competitor moves, and customer desires
Partner with vendors and suppliers to negotiate deals, pricing, and exclusive partnerships
Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from selection and launch to inventory management and clearance strategies
Optimise inventory levels to minimise stockouts and excess inventory
Build strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers
Drive revenue and profitability by setting and achieving ambitious targets
Leverage customer insights to improve datadriven decisions
Ensure all products meet regulatory compliance quality standards
Implement and maintain quality assurance processes that guarantee excellence

Your Skills and Experience

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a relevant field. An MBA is a plus
8 years experience in product management or relevant field
Proven track record in category management, ideally within consumer goods industry
Business acumen with ability to make sound business decisions by understanding customer needs, competitor activity and financial targets
Analytical mind with proficiency in data analysis tools to translate insights into action
Critical thinking to plan strategic longterm plans that align with business goals
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to thrive in a fastpaced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing market conditions
Leadership experiences and comfortable working with a crossfunctional team
Experience within an outdoor/ adventure product environment is a bonus
