MCHRI sits under the Facility of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Monash University. Established in 2005, MCHRI has grown from 3 to 110staff and students.

Position Summary:

To coordinate and support in delivery of implementation and qualitative research.

This key role will primarily support multidisciplinary teams across University of Melbourne, Monash University and Deakin University in the Good4mums project.

This will involve coordinating across study sites, supporting the steering committee and Good4mums team, planning and collection of research data, having oversight and being involved in delivering on initiative objectives.

An enthusiastic, passionate and experienced Project Coordinator is sought to support this work. The Project Coordinator will be an integral member of the both MCHRI and the Good4mums teams. Annual contract extension is anticipated.

An enthusiastic and attention-to-detail Implementation and qualitative research project coordinator is sought to coordinate Good4mums. Good4Mums project Coordinator role will coordinate a large NHRMC project across multiple teams. This also involves evaluation and qualitative research of a primary care implementation project.


Primary responsibilities includes:


  • Effective and professional communication of project with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Administrative support, including developing and maintaining data and recordkeeping systems.
  • A demonstrated understanding of ethics, confidentiality, privacy and information handling principles.
  • Knowledge development, including liaising with colleagues, reading relevant literature and attending meetings & seminars.
  • Qualitative data analysis and implementation research and evaluation.
  • Other research and administrative duties as directed by the project leads.

About You
The person we are seeking will be an experienced project coordinator with qualitative and implementation and evaluation research expertise.

Superior interpersonal, written and oral communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to liaise, mediate and influence are essential.

The role requires sound analytical and problem-solving skills, along with demonstrated high-level organisational skills, including the ability to set priorities, manage time, plan work to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.

Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and support senior academics with a flexible, positive and collaborative approach.


What you need:


  • Tertiary qualification in health or social sciences, business or experience working in or with the health sector
  • Qualitative research and evaluation experience
  • Postgraduate qualifications (preferred not essential)
  • Current Victorian driver's licence
