About the Role


As a Planning Support Officer, you will play an integral role in providing administrative and telephone support to the Statutory Planning teams within City Development.

Additionally, you will provide professional advice and contribute to the continuous improvement of the team.


This is a great opportunity for a recent planning graduate looking for an opportunity to kick start their planning career or an experienced administrator who is seeking to further advance their skills in administration and customer service.

This is a temporary 2 year part time opportunity


Duties:


  • Supporting planners with a range of administrative duties ensuring strict confidentiality when working with sensitive information.
  • Preparing notification documentation.
  • Assisting in communications with internal and external stakeholders and customers, writing correspondence and answering telephone queries.
  • Administration of and maintenance of electronic planning records.

Skills and Experience

  • Exceptional customer service, attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage your own time, prioritise tasks and adapt quickly to change.
  • Sound problem solving and organisational abilities.
  • Strong knowledge and experience working within a technical / legislative driven environment desirable.
