Role Details:
The Customer Service Officer is a role within Community Investment and Support/Screening Unit and is accountable to the Manager, Customer and Business Services for:
- providing accurate, responsive and timely customer services to applicants and organisations
Key Outcomes and Accountabilities:
- Screening Applications
- Provide accurate, responsive and timely customer services to applicants and organisations.
- Mail handling/sorting.
- Records administration and archiving.
- Customer Service
- Lead the delivery of timely, appropriate, and highquality services to customers.
- Provide a comprehensive support service for screening clients including providing support to applicants completing screening checks via our Incoming Call Centre and General Enquiries Inbox.
- Sensitively handling confidential information and requests for assistance.
- Relationship Management
- Work effectively within a multidisciplinary customer service and processing team towards achieving the identified outcomes of the team.
- Work collaboratively to develop effective working relationships with peers, staff and others in order to deliver quality and timely communications and services.
- Liaise with internal and external organisations and/or individuals.
- Quality Improvement
- Contribute to the development and review of relevant continuous improvement of the Screening Unit's processes and services.
- Participate in regular training to support ongoing personal skills development.
- Participation in regular feedback and performance development sessions.
Note:
Any other responsibilities in line with the classification level of the role as assigned by Line Manager and/or the Department.
The responsibilities as specified above may be altered in accordance with the changing requirements of the role.Special Conditions:
- National Police Check required.
- Employmentrelated Screening Check required.
About the Business:
Community Investment and Support is responsible for the provision of many vital services to the South Australian public to help build stronger and better-connected communities.
The division provides screening of those who work with children or vulnerable people, as well as procurement of goods and services for the department, including important social services from the not-for profit sector.
The division also provides grants and commissions services to promote economic participation, as well as a range of concessions to the community, and interpreting and translating services to both public and private organisations.

Salary Range:
$56,987 - $61,301
