Description

An excellent customer service opportunity has become available for a suitably qualified Enrolment Specialist (VET) to come join us at Swinburne University.

Reporting to the Enrolment Specialist, Coordinator, you will be accountable for providing specialist course advice to VET students in all facets of the areas of enrolment and study plan management.

This position is the key interface with the VET teaching area, academics, curriculum, students and other Swinburne areas for the provision of specialist student course enrolment information and study plan advice.

This role is critical to the experience a student has while studying with Swinburne and will be required to support students through their studies in a friendly and approachable way.


Customer service is a key element of this role and provide detailed and specialist course and study planning advice to students.

Whilst a large proportion of student course enquiries are responded to by staff at studentHQ or Contact Centre, queries requiring more detailed knowledge of course structures or those that are more complex in nature, will be 'warm transferred' to the Enrolment Specialist (VET).

The position also provides studentHQ staff with informative advice to assist with the development of general course knowledge.


About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Significant experience in the coordination of student client services functions and demonstrated ability to deliver high quality services to a range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills and the ability to establish and communicate clear priorities from competing demands.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of VE, Higher Education and foundation administrative process and legislative requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including the ability to provide advice and support to staff, students, and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate the activities of staff to ensure the delivery of quality service to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
