About the position
- As a member of the AccessAbility and Inclusion team within Health, Wellbeing and Inclusion, the AccessAbility and Inclusion Advisor shares a set of accountabilities and will have broad overview and skills in providing specialist service to a range of student cohorts, both domestic and International_._
- The AccessAbility and Inclusion Advisors are _also_ required to assess and provide a range of solutionfocused outcomes for students living with disability or other equity issues; provide advice and guidance to both staff and students to enable the successful implementation of recommended solutions; and contribute to continuous quality improvement._
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have;
- Degree and/or postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant experience, knowledge and/or training.
- Extensive experience and capability working with people living with disability and/or complex life circumstances, including knowledge of relevant legislation and policy.
- Demonstrated ability to form a detailed knowledge of operational policies and the interrelationships between a range of policies and activities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, especially the ability to build rapport with students/clients and the capacity to work collaboratively and cooperatively with colleagues in a small team ideally within a large and complex organization.
- Demonstrated selforganisation, personal management and problemsolving skills, with an ability to manage multiple activities concurrently.
