The End User Experience (EUX) team consists of approximately 650 staff, committed to ensuring the ongoing effective performance, and future health of the systems, whilst reducing Technical Debt and improving operations.

Your new role ensures operational stability, risk management, incident/problem resolution for our people's devices and hardware.


As the Service Manager - Asset Management, you will lead in management of the IT asset inventory, logistics, and procurement for End User Experience services, providing service management and overseeing the lifecycle of user equipment and software.

Ultimately, you will ensure that the organisation has the necessary IT resources to support business operations.

In this role, you will collaborate with your team or Asset Management professionals to;

  • Manage and implement IT Asset Management strategies and operational policies including IT Service Maturity Framework improvements
  • Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and warranties.
  • Track the lifecycle of assets, from procurement and deployment to retirement and disposal.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with statutory and licensing agreements, mitigate risk within key resiliency control areas, and identify opportunities for service optimisation.
  • Maintain meaningful engagement with internal stakeholders, vendors and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of assets.
  • Monitor and report on asset performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Staying updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT asset management.

Your Contribution
Alongside your knowledge of the ITIL best practice framework in Service Management, to this role you will bring;

  • Strong knowledge and demonstrable success in IT inventory management, preferably within a large organisation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with vendors, customers, and team members.
  • Strong problemsolving and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on data and analysis.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to effectively manage budgets.
  • An ability to support, mentor and develop a high performing team in an agile work environment.
