Our Community Safety Team
provide a highly visible and responsive Community Safety service in partnership with the community to contribute to a safe and secure lifestyle and sustainable city.


Our Engagement and Business Support team are currently seeking an Engagement Officer who will help facilitate proactive and fit for purpose community education programs across the City which concentrate on three primary areas - community engagement, program delivery, and the promotion and marketing of relevant initiatives.

To be considered for this role, you'll possess the following experience, skills and/or qualifications:

  • Highly developed conflict resolution, networking, and negotiation skills.
  • Highlevel customer service skills including the ability to liaise effectively and courteously with internal and external customers.
  • Previous experience working in crime prevention and community safety environments.
  • Proven experience in program management and event coordination, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines.
  • Experience in marketing and promotional activities for educational purpose.

What we offer


This temporary part-time position is a Level 6 Inside Workforce Agreement and attracts a competitive salary commencing at $79, $83,255.78 per annum pro rata plus superannuation.
