About the Role

Bundoora Homestead Art Centre is the public art gallery for the City of Darebin, hosting contemporary visual arts and craft exhibitions and an onsite café set in a heritage mansion and gardens.

This position plays a key role in the Art & Collections Team which oversees visual art services within the City of Darebin.

This position assists the Curator in the delivery of exhibitions and collections management projects.

Assist with implementing an exhibition schedule at Bundoora Homestead Art Centre
Oversee collections maintenance and conservation projects for both the Darebin Art Collection and the Public Art Collection
Develop relationships and networks with the local arts community and ensure programming, public programs and opportunities are made available to, and relevant for, local artists and local arts lovers

Skills & Experience

Previous experience working in a public arts/cultural/arts facility.
Knowledge and experience of collection management including databases, artwork storage and handling.
Experience in exhibition coordination or project management in a gallery or cultural facility.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
