About us

The Corporate Governance and Support unit works in collaboration with program areas and communities to deliver justice services that are efficient, effective and integrated around community and client needs.


There are five Justice Service Centres in Gippsland: Bairnsdale, Morwell, Sale, Warragul and Wonthaggi.
The Justice Service Centres deliver justice operations and community engagement services to the community.

Each Justice Service Centre has a dedicated team of Justice Officers who ensure the efficient delivery of administration, operational support and reception services in a team environment.

About the role

The Justice Officer Team Leader leads a team of Justice Officers at the Justice Service Centres, and is responsible for the efficient delivery of administration, operational support and reception services in a team environment.

The Justice Officer team provides operational and administrative support and client services to underpin the effective and efficient delivery of justice operations and community engagement services delivered from the Justice Service Centres.

The Justice Officer Team Leader, in conjunction with the location managers, will ensure that the administrative and support services team are sufficiently resourced and skilled to meet the needs of their role.

From time to time, the Justice Officer Team Leader will act as an escalation point to resolve operational support and client service delivery problems raised by location managers, team members and clients of the Justice Service Centres.

The Justice Officer Team Leader role will be based in Morwell, however there will be a requirement to travel and perform tasks across Gippsland Region's Justice Service Centres.

About you
- well-developed computer literacy
- good knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations
- experience in leading a multi-disciplinary service delivery team (advantageous)
- excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.

Upon commencement of employment with the department you will be required to provide evidence that you have an up-to-date vaccination status within the timelines specified by the department into the DJCS Service Portal.

This includes evidence of three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine required by the department (from time to time).


Acceptable evidence includes:


  • COVID19 digital certificate or ATAGI exemption certificate (available via your myGov account)
  • Your immunisation history statement (available via your myGov account)
Other documentation outside the above will not be accepted as evidence of having received your COVID-19 vaccine doses.
