The opportunity:


We have a fantastic newly created opportunity for an experienced Team Leader to join our growing Tele Underwriting and Admin team.

You will be responsible for leading a team of Underwriting Service Representatives and Administrators within the Retail Customer and Operations Department.

Ensuring the completion of all new Tele-Application requests and administrative tasks are completed within the agreed standards, procedures, and service levels.


To do this successfully you will:

  • Manage team members workloads to ensure overall achievement of service level, productivity and quality targets are met
  • Responding to escalations in a timely manner and ensuring the inbox is addressed as per agreed turnaround times
  • Provide ongoing coaching, support and development of the Tele-Collect Consultants and Underwriting Administrators
  • Actively contribute towards the development of service transformation and business process improvement initiatives
  • Proactive stakeholder engagement, relationship and expectation management
  • Leadership experience within the Life Insurance industry is highly desirable
  • Proven ability to maintain and build relationships with advisers and dealer groups
  • ANZIF Cert IV highly desirable
  • Proven People Management skills and experiencing leading teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
