Your role

As part of our wider Integrated Digital Solutions team, you will be joining one of Australia's largest legal technology teams where we have been recognised in the

As the Legal Technology Manager you will be responsible for scoping, establishing matter strategy, resource allocation, sign off on key deliverables and managing matter as well strategic project teams.


As a key member of the Legal Technology management team, this position will be responsible for team performance and will also act as a performance coach for a number of individuals.

Alongside other Integrated Legal Solutions Managers, this position is also responsible for the development of core procedures and processes as well as leading strategic projects across the team.


Some key responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare cost estimates for legal teams and clients
  • Prepare business cases for recruitment, promotions, training and travel and present to Head of Legal Technology
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and service lines. Develop what a potential new offering could look like
  • Ensure that matters are managed and delivered in accordance with scope, cost estimate and matter budgets
  • Lead and contribute to strategic projects across all streams as required
  • Proactively identify and address any performance issues and work with team members to address
  • Consult and engage directly with Partners and clients to scope matters and to provide legal technology guidance and expertise
  • Together with other Legal Services Managers, manage utilisation and capacity of team members to ensure billable benchmarks are met.
  • Build strong working relationships with Partners and senior lawyers, across offices
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity. Hybrid working (60% in the office) is how we work however, flexibility matters at Allens and so if you are seeking an alternative arrangement, we would be happy to discuss what would work best for you

About you


You will have:

  • A strong background working in professional services or legal technology. Information management, information technology and/or project management is highly desirable.
  • Strong legal technology experience with a range of legal technology solutions deep Relativity expertise is essential
  • Excellent leadership, collaboration, and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage large scale projects with a proactive approach
  • Exceptional project management and time management skills to deliver under pressure and work to tight deadlines.
  • Project management accreditation desirable
  • Ability to manage teams of 10 or more people
  • Good working knowledge of practice groups and industry best practice around the use of and adoption of technologies in legal workflows
  • Welldeveloped verbal/written communication, interpersonal and influencing skills to ensure effective interaction at all levels
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Welldeveloped information technology skills including knowledge of cloudbased tools, workflows and sound understanding of relational databases.
