About the role

  • Full product training provided to set you up for success
  • First point of contact for all sales enquiries from potential or existing customers
  • Providing TravelCard's insurance products to travellers, binding policies and growing our customer database
  • Promoting the company ethos by providing an exceptional customer experience and adhering to TravelCard's values
  • Become a product expert
  • Working as part of a high functioning and multiskilled team
  • Ensuring excellence in customer experience including timeliness of responses
  • Meet KPI's and adhere to TravelCard's guidelines, procedures and quality standards
  • Understand the customer needs and provide the appropriate products
  • Upsell & crosssell optional covers to facilitate customer's needs & generate higher revenue
  • Liaise with the Medical Assessors team regarding preexisting conditions
  • Learn and grow in your role excellent opportunity for growth and career progression

About you

  • Previous sales experience as a contact centre agent or transferable skills
  • A good knowledge and understanding of insurance products and of the Australian travel insurance market is a plus
  • Targetoriented and a proven examples and track record of meeting and/or exceeding KPIs in sales and maintaining a positive experience for the customer
  • Taking inbound calls and also comfortable making outbound calls (to follow up leads) & confidently communicate with a diverse groups of people.
  • Highly motivated, positive and driven attitude to exceed targets and KPIs
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet targets
  • An outstanding customercentric approach
  • Demonstrated relationship and sales ability
  • Excellent verbal communication skills; able to demonstrate patience and enthusiasm
  • A mindset which is supportive and allows you to 'walk in our customer's shoes'
  • An ability and willingness to take initiative
  • A reliable, punctual, loyal and willingness to be part of a team attitude
  • Enthusiastic and adaptable team player with strong work ethics
  • Computer savvy (and open to learning new computer software packages)
