EL 1 - Assistant Director - Security and Quality Assurance (Multiple Positions) - Defence and Veteran Suicide Reform Taskforce
The Role
The Security and Quality Assurance EL1 - Assistant Directors will work within the Defence and Veteran Suicide (DVS) Reform Taskforce.
The Assistant Director Quality Assurance will work to the Director Quality Assurance within the Program Management Office to develop and implement a suite of program assurance activities including; assessing program governance arrangements against best practice, developing and implementing a benefits realisation plan and supporting documentation to assess the effectiveness of reform initiatives; and liaising with internal audit and external oversight bodies to meet reporting requirements.
The role will be responsible for developing the program assurance framework, supporting program design, development of implementation plans and reports, conducting governance health checks and program evaluation, and reporting on performance measures.
The Assistant Director of Security and Assurance will work to the Director of Taskforce Support to promote a strong security culture across the Taskforce; providing security support and advice as required; providing support and guidance to Taskforce Security Officers; ensuring Security Standing Orders and Security Registers are maintained; and overseeing effective security assurance and reporting.
The role will be responsible for working with Directors to identify, analyse and monitor Taskforce and security risks; monitoring Taskforce compliance with relevant policy and legislation; collecting, collating and analysing assurance data and deliver quarterly assurance reports, briefs and dashboards.
About our Team
The Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide - Taskforce (RCDVS-TF) was established July 2021. The Royal Commission due to submit its Final Report to Government in September 2024, the RCDVS-TF will shift its focus toward coordinating the implementation of Government agreed recommendations. The positions advertised will be in the DVS Reform Taskforce and will support the implementation of the Reform Program.
