The position:

In the role of an Accounts Payable Officer, your duties will encompass precise documentation and management of company creditors.

Your responsibilities will include processing and timely payment of creditors, with a particular emphasis on the Australian and Pacific Operations.


Your day-to-day tasks will include, but not be limited to:

  • Managing extensive invoice batching and processing, even in foreign currencies
  • Guaranteeing the prompt, effective, and precise processing of creditor invoices
  • Validating that invoices are correctly matched with appropriate purchase orders and duly approved before payment
  • Conducting meticulous reconciliations between creditor statements and invoices, and resolving discrepancies every month
  • Preparing payment runs, seeking approval, and subsequently uploading them into the Company's banking system for processing
  • Handling the maintenance of vendor accounts (creation and updates)
  • Addressing creditor inquiries as necessary, while nurturing favourable relationships with the Company's suppliers
  • Efficiently collaborating with onsite representatives and suppliers
  • Identifying and implementing ongoing enhancements to elevate the efficiency and efficacy of accounts payable procedures within Australian and PNG Operations
  • Previous pertinent experience in an accounts payable capacity using Pronto.
  • Profound capability to function harmoniously within a team.
  • Extensive familiarity with the purchasing process and a consistent aptitude for identifying and implementing ongoing enhancements.
  • Exemplary organizational skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Adept analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  • A positive and proactive demeanour, inclusive of a willingness to undertake tasks beyond the typical scope of responsibilities.
  • Abundant energy and a proven track record of thriving under stringent deadlines while managing multiple tasks, all while delivering on commitments.
  • Robust verbal and written communication proficiencies, underscored by a demonstrated ability to effectively persuade and articulate concepts.
  • Showcased advanced computer literacy, including substantial prowess in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
