Our Client is a general Engineering Company, who provide a high quality fitting & machining service to all Industries throughout South Australia.

Our Client a leading Engineering Company is looking for a Yard hand to join their team located in Northfield.


THE ROLE
Our Client is currently seeking a Yard hand / Trades Assistant for their Northfield Workshop.

The initial role will be through Labour Hire for the first 13 weeks before the successful person having the opportunity to move over to become an employee of the Company.

Your Duties will include but not limited to;

  • Loading and unloading of trucks/inventory
  • Receiving and dispatching sale and purchase orders
  • Maintain active involvement in the general operations of the stores
  • Assist staff and personnel to perform their tasks in accordance with established procedures
  • Undertake and complete assigned tasks with mínimal supervision and in compliance with health and safety
  • Assist the workshop with assembly and operation of machinery
  • Forklift and Loader duties as required

THE PERSON

  • Previous experience in a Trades Assistant, Yard Hand position or similar role
  • LF Forklift ticket
  • Over head Crane experience desirable, not essential
  • Current valid driver's license
  • Strong commitment to health and safety
