Established in 1982, Alzheimer's WA provides care, support, awareness and information to assist people living with dementia, as well as their families and carers.


Our services include advocacy, education, partnerships, training, consultancy and holistic person-centred care programs, based on a philosophy of understanding the lived experiences of those living with dementia.

We provide CHSP, HCP and NDIS packages and day/overnight respite in our four homes based in Perth, Mandurah and Albany.

Position Summary:


Alzheimer's WA are seeking an experienced and passionate House Manager to lead, manage and provide operational support to the Care and Support Service team, based out of our Mandurah's respite house.


Responsibilities:

Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring the delivery of care services tailored to the unique needs of clients and carers.
  • Leading the development and implementation of quality programs and initiatives.
  • Managing day centre staff and volunteers, ensuring seamless compliance with service delivery requirements.
  • Taking charge of client referrals, support planning, and conducting ongoing assessments to guarantee optimal service provision.
  • Being the guardian of accurate and uptodate recordkeeping on client management systems.
  • Seamlessly handling administrative tasks for the efficient operation of the service within budget parameters.
  • Reviewing, developing, and implementing systems, policies, and procedures for organizational consistency.
  • Monitoring the welfare of clients and their carers, addressing any changes in their social, psychological, or physical wellbeing.
  • Cultivating and maintaining meaningful relationships with clients, families, staff, students, and volunteers.
  • Recognizing and supporting the unique needs of clients and families/carers with utmost respect for their individual views.
  • Providing valuable information to guide clients and families/carers on their dementia journey.
  • Establishing and nurturing a positive work culture at the House.

Selection Criteria:

- relevant tertiary qualifications in aged care or community services;
- experience delivering dementia specific services within a day centre/respite based environment.
- demonstrated ability to develop and manage a small team, deliver quality, aged care services and maintain compliance and administration obligations;
- current First Aid certificate (or willing to obtain);
- current WA driver's license;

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain); and
  • COVID19 vaccination certificate (minimum 3 doses).
