We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Network Investigation Officer at Kewdale on a Full-time permanent basis.


About this role
As the Network Investigation Technician, you will be required to conduct technical investigation of network faults.

To investigate, identify and resolve moderate to complex network issues associated with the LV and HV network, including power quality, electric shock investigations and conducting network switching operations.

You will also be required to Perform commissioning, maintenance and fault repairs to distribution automation switchgear and alternative sources of supply, communicate with key stakeholders and adapt to a changing work environment to complete programs in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner.


About you
We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

  • Current "A" Grade WA Electrical Workers License endorsed for Electrical Fitting/Mechanic

  • essential:
  • A minimum of LOU, HOU Switching Authorities for Distribution and any relevant for Transmission Systems
  • Preferably 5+ years technical experience in the energy industry, including appropriate industry licenses and certificates of competency
  • Specialist technical experience and demonstrated knowledge in emergency response generator commissioning and operation, commissioning and fault finding on distribution automated electronic switchgear and HV and LV power quality issues, causes and corrective actions.
  • IT Systems: Fluent with MS Windows, MS Office, Ellipse, WSMS, POF, ERG and distribution power quality and automation software.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work alone or in a team.
  • Experience dealing with external customers
  • Valid WA Driver's License Class 'C' or 'C-A'
