The Role
We are looking for a Settlements Consultant to effectively manage and maximise negotiated Settlement opportunities.

You will be required to pursue opportunities to drive cost containment that ensure a commercially beneficial outcome for the organisation whilst balancing our legislative/compliance requirements (reducing risk).


Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively negotiate settlement opportunities (by way of making both written and verbal representations on behalf of IAG) with relevant stakeholders to achieve commercial outcomes in line with KPI's.
  • Liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders (including partnered organisations) in ensuring risk/exposure is mitigated and appropriate business and customer outcomes are achieved.
  • Ensure adherence to external regulatory/legislative requirements together with compliance to internal business rules and established ways of working.
  • Ensure effective management of work allocation in accordance with set established Service Standards (SLA).
  • Ensure effective management of dispute resolution and customer management where points of contention and/or conflict arise.

Skills & Experience

  • A background in managing complex insurance claims (1+ years' experience)
  • Highly developed negotiation skills, experience in dealing with Third Party negotiations
  • A track record of strong internal and external stakeholder management and influencing skills including Customers, Third Party Insurers & Representatives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid understanding and ability to use Claim Centre Version 7 & 8
