About the role:


The Technical Manager assists to lead the team of WorkCover Consultant to ensure Victoria Police comply with the relevant legislation through the administration and coordination of WorkCover claims.

Utilising your leadership skills, you will educate and support the team in providing quality advice, timely support and service, in line with the requirements of the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 and Victoria Police policies and procedures.


Your duties will include:


  • Effectively manage, lead and develop a team of WorkCover Consultants
  • Develop, monitor, evaluate and take corrective action regarding the implementation of Claims Management service standards, ensuring continuous improvement
  • Provide high level advice, coaching and monitoring on the management of complex claims management cases and issues, as well as policies, procedures, and initiative to the team and internal and external clients.
  • Technical ability to test and maintain the Victoria Police claims management system (SAP)

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • The ability to think strategically
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills and communication skills
  • Sound numeracy skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management.
  • Knowledge of the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 and the competency to interpret relevant enterprise agreements, policies and procedures is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Two (2) x fulltime, ongoing positions available.
  • This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
