About the Opportunity

The Learning Program Facilitator is responsible for the delivery of a range of new and existing audience engagement programs, designed for school groups, early years and school-aged audiences.

Key to this role is ensuring excellent delivery of educational and learning events and activities to the Library's school-aged audiences.

The Learning Program Facilitator is accountable for the following measurable outcomes:

  • Present a range of educational and learning events, workshops and activities to school-aged and pre-school audiences.
  • Deliver a seamless program experience to engage and educate these audiences.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Resolution of operational or program maintenance issues.
  • Contribute to a process of continuous improvement by providing feedback to the Experience Design and Programming teams on audience response to these programs and through internal process reviews.
About You

  • Knowledge about the community: Has insights into issues and trends within the cultural sector and education sector and understands the diverse needs and expectations of young Victorians, teachers and students.
  • Technical/specialist expertise: Can demonstrate an understanding of teaching and learning principles, practices and standards associated with delivering and monitoring ways in which our audiences respond to the programs.
  • Presentation: Demonstrated communication and presentation skills to provide audiences with engaging educational experiences.
  • Visual and written communication: Highly developed skills in using spoken and written language to convey and obtain information, insights and ideas.
  • Problem solving skills: Can identify and implement solutions to address difficult situations
