The role of Payroll Systems Advisor will see you working from our Victoria Park head office as part of the payroll processing team.

Due to growth of our business we are seeking to add to our payroll team to ensure our ongoing responsibility for the delivery of end-to-end payroll services is met for employees both at a national and international level.


Key Responsibilities

  • Providing payroll systems functional support to payroll, HR and site administration.
  • Ensuring employee agreements are set up and maintaining accurately and on time.
  • Running reports to analyse payroll set up accuracy.
  • Ensure payroll costing is set up accurately.
  • Supporting the set up and testing of new payroll system functionality.
  • Working with other members of the payroll processing team to ensure the effective processing of weekly and fortnightly payrolls.
  • Working with Industrial Relations team on agreement set up requirements, including payment requirements, and the alignment to letters of appointment to payroll set up.
  • Liaising with site administration on payroll activities.
  • Supporting other payroll activities as required, including supporting system configuration set up and maintenance with the payroll governance team.
  • Building relationships to ensure an efficient payroll process.

What you will bring- Have solid Microsoft Office and database skills, including at least intermediate excel skills.

  • Experience in payroll system set up and/or configuration.
  • Previous payroll experience is essential, with knowledge of Ascender being highly desirable.
  • Experience dealing with multiple employment agreements (EBAs) with various overtime and allowance requirements is considered essential.
  • A high level of efficiency and attention to detail combined with initiative and flexibility.
  • An appreciation for the confidentiality of personal information is a must.
  • Be selfmotivated, have a passion for providing excellent customer service; with exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills who enjoys being part of a dynamic team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Previous payroll experience is essential, with knowledge of Ascender being highly desirable.
