Description
Artega is a joint venture between Challenger Limited and SimCorp to provide investment administration services to the market._

  • Artega is a technology led investment administration business offering front, middle and back office services to investment managers and asset owners in Australia and Asia. The business currently supports over $100Bn for its clients and has 140 staff located in Sydney and London. The business utilises the SimCorp Dimension software as its core technology platform._
  • Delivery team ritual manager (including daily standups, sprint planning, team retrospectives)
  • Coordination of assigned projects or initiatives assigned to Delivery Team, ensuring the projects follow an Agile/Lean methodology but not at the expense of controls
  • Remove blockers/ impediments for delivery team initiatives, supporting the team by engaging with upstream and downstream stakeholders to manage dependencies and risks
  • Actively drive relentless improvement within the Delivery team and alignment with other Delivery teams.
  • Participate in program rituals (including Program Increment planning, "Scrum of scrums", Program Retrospectives, Discovery showcase)
  • Work as part of a delivery team to deliver on a wide range of projects and small changes impacting Investment Operations (IO), Funds Management and Life Business divisions
  • Have a big picture mind set in your approach to providing creative problem solving and have an end to end thought process for projects.
  • The ability to manage objectives/scope of a project in the discovery phase to avoid project scope creep.
  • Work to meet deadlines as agreed on projects and initiatives. Escalation where deadlines are hitting obstacles.
  • The ability to engage project sponsors, facilitate or participate in project control groups, influence and guide stakeholder decisions and can interact with external stakeholders in a professional manner.
  • Identification and appropriate management of risks and control points within your projects and ability to provide suggestions for mitigation of these risks.
  • Oversee handover of all functions to BAU teams, ensuring they have clear procedures, checklist items, training given, training videos made and workflow diagrams produced to a high standard.
  • Strong background in project management and project delivery.

Investment Services Projects (ISP)

  • The ISP team is responsible for implementation of all investment management project and small change deliveries. They project manage these new functions, ensuring workflows are established, procedures are documented and training of the other teams occurs.
Investment Operations

  • Investment Operations is responsible for the administration and servicing of the funds and portfolios of assets for the Life and Funds Management businesses.
  • This includes receiving trade instructions, matching with the counterparties, managing the settlement process with the custodian or bank, processing all relevant static data, securities pricing and corporate event information, reconciliations to banks and custodians, setting up and monitoring compliance rules, valuing the assets, striking unit prices, generating performance and attribution reporting and client reporting.
  • Investment Operations look after all asset classes both domestically and internationally including equity, fixed income, derivative, property and infrastructure.

Knowledge & Experience required:

  • Understanding of Agile Project Delivery methodologies, including the SAFe Agile framework
  • Understanding of Project Management principles and project delivery
  • People leadership, stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution strategies
  • Understanding of financial products including Derivatives, Fixed Income, Equities, Futures etc and market best practices/systems knowledge for these products.
  • Understanding of all operational processes that Investment Operations undertake
  • Understanding of market initiatives and current market trends in relation to operational best practice
  • Understanding of regulatory changes in the markets 5+ years of working within an Agile Project Delivery methodology, including the SAFe Agile framework project delivery and project management function

Qualifications / Certifications:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Finance or IT
  • Agile Scrum Master qualification
