    Marsh McLennan is seeking candidates for the following position based in Sydney or Melbourne:

    Senior Commercial Counsel

    • We will count on you to:

  • Provide expert and commercial legal advice in a timely and professional manner to all aspects of the Marsh & Mercer Australia businesses
  • Analysis of and advice on new and/or changing laws and regulations
  • Identify liability exposure and provide solutions to manage and reduce risk to Marsh & Mercer
  • Effective management of outside counsel and review of outside counsel work product.
  • Provide supervision, development and management to junior team members
  • Liaison between legal and rest of the company
  • Assisting in producing reports, manuals, and presentations
  • Other tasks as directed by the manager, Chief Commercial Counsel, Pacific

  • Ability to work autonomously and accurately to meet multiple deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of writing and communication skills
  • Ability to draft and edit concisely
