- _PT 30 hours per week over 4 days, 1 day WFH 3 day WFO_

What the role involves


Working in a collaborative team of caseworkers, this role involves enabling women who are experiencing Domestic & Family Violence to stay safely in their own home or home of their choice.

This is done through case management, safety strategies and support for women in the local LGA.

  • Daytoday management of complex caseload of clients and management of new referrals
  • Case manage clients in the Staying Home Leaving Violence (SHLV) program as per program guidelines
  • Assess, approve and monitor brokerage expenditure to provide security upgrades for clients
  • Participate in the Womens Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service and local Safety Action Management meetings
  • Maintain and grow key stakeholder relationships in the community
  • Work collaboratively across the organisation and maintain referral pathways with other service providers
  • Be available for dropin clients during work hours

This role is right for you if you have,

  • Experience working as a case worker in the Family and Domestic Violence space or strong knowledge of working with women and children experience DFV
  • Qualifications in community service, case work or similar would be highly regarded
  • Strong cultural understanding and demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islanders and CALD background is essential
  • A respectful, nonjudgemental and collaborative working style
  • Ideally, you will have a local understanding of the DFV/Child Protection space and the Staying Home Leaving Violence Program
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to speak a community language would be highly regarded
