THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a passionate Production Supervisor to coordinate a team of Production based employees.

This role will ensures the safe, cost-effective and high quality manufacture of products for Ampcontrol Captech based in Ferntree Gully.

The role is responsible for supporting the achievement of production schedules, effective maintenance of plant and equipment, quality control and manufacturing.


Specifically, it entails:

  • Supervision, training, development and coaching of production staff
  • Developing and promoting a continuous improvement mentality in the workforce
  • Assisting in succession planning and resolution of performance issues
  • Ensuring accuracy of product design and compliance to relevant standards (in consultation with the Leading Hands)
  • Preparation, handover and monitoring of job packages
  • Ensuring workshop activities are optimising personnel, material, and machine efficiency (in collaboration with the Workshop Supervisor)
  • Assisting with ensuring budget targets and indirect costs are adhered to
  • Ensuring timesheets are completed correctly and on time, as well as obtaining approval for staff overtime
  • Reporting on status of current jobs
