The opportunity:

Reporting to the Communications Stakeholder Relations Director, the
Communications Manager will work within KBR's Government Solutions (GS) business.

They will be responsible for developing and enacting numerous communications plans across the business that align with the GS business strategy and develop partnerships with key internal stakeholders and groups to ensure that the Communications Team is involved at the beginning of programs of work that will ensure consistent messaging is delivered across the business and outwards to our partners.


This position is a Full Time, fixed-term opportunity based in Adelaide.

In this position you will:


  • Develop and execute communications plans aligned with business strategy
  • Effectively plan and manage the necessary activities across several communication plans simultaneously
  • Form partnerships with key stakeholders and groups to ensure that Communications is involved at the beginning of programs of activity and to determine key milestones/dates;
  • Develop and maintain a though understanding of key objectives and goals;
  • Engage with stakeholders through a variety of means to spot potential issues
  • Demonstrate the link between desired outcome of a program and the communication tactics that have influenced that outcome
  • Lead discussions with key stakeholders, to ensure a consistent message is delivered across our business
  • Work in partnership with leaders to share the big picture with stakeholders through compelling information and narrative;
  • Measure and report on communication program's effectiveness and improve short and long term planning, strategies and tactics
  • Minimum of 5 yearsexperience within communications environments (Defence preferably)
  • Appropriate tertiary or business qualifications in communications or equivalent relevant experience/background.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships at all levels of seniority and across organisational functions
  • AGSVA Baseline security clearance
