About the Role


Reporting to the Head of Overhauls, the Major Overhauls Manager is an important role within the Maintenance and Overhauls (M&O) Group and is responsible for planning, governance and for overseeing the successful delivery of a defined overhaul and associated programs and projects in line with the business strategy, as defined by the Program Sponsors.


Your key accountabilities:


  • Leadership role in the Maintenance and Overhauls (M&O) Business Unit
  • Ensuring the Overhaul remains aligned with the business strategy and priorities as defined by the Program Sponsors
  • Accountability for delivery of complex and high value overhauls, within business processes and performance outcomes
  • Daily overhaul management throughout the program life cycle
  • Defining and implementing the Overhaul governance (controls)
  • Planning the overall Overhaul, including associated projects and monitoring the progress
  • Managing the Overhaul's budget
  • Managing risks and issues and taking corrective measurements
  • Coordinating the Projects and their interdependencies

About You


To be considered for this role, we're looking for an experienced people leader who has been involved in the planning, development, and execution of high value (>$50m) Programs of overhaul work.

Stakeholder management is key to be able ensure alignment of all groups involved to deliver upon the strategy and our business commitments.


We're looking for the below attributes:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Program/Overhaul and Project Management methodologies and techniques.
  • Exceptional ability in establishing stakeholder relationships, and relationship management skills demonstrated across all internal and external teams involved within Major Overhaul programs
  • Good customer service skills to be used when meeting Origin Energy customers
  • A genuine respect and understanding of Health, Safety and Environment procedures
  • Demonstrated knowledge of finance budgeting and resource allocation skills
  • Technical qualifications such as a degree are desirable, yet not essential for this role
