About the Role:
We are looking for an APS5 equivalent program officer to join the Support at Home Implementation Section.
Successful applicants will be required to undertake a variety of tasks including contribute to the development of transition and implementation documentation, development of communications in a variety of different forms and stakeholder engagement.
The role be in a dynamic and fast paced environment assisting the branch to deliver a reformed and improved in-home aged care program by 1 July 2024.
Key Responsibilities
- Support internal and external stakeholder engagement activities such as webinars, roadshows, consultation forums
- Work collaboratively with the section, branch, and other stakeholders
- Undertake relevant activities to support delivery of project outcomes as required
Key Capabilities
- Prior experience in drafting written materials and documentation to a range of stakeholders (internal and external), tailoring messages and style to different audiences
- Ability to plan/organise/manage activities and deliver outcomes on time
- Good verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders over the phone, face to face or at meetings
- Ability to develop and foster strong interpersonal relationships with all stakeholders.
- Show initiative and the ability to work independently, with limited supervision within a team environment
- The ability to manage multiple and competing priorities and challenges as they arise, often with tight timeframes
Eligibility
- To be eligible for employment with the Department of Health applicants must be an Australian citizen at the time an offer of employment is made
- An applicant's suitability for employment with Health will also be assessed through a variety of preemployment check processes, such as:
- Satisfactory completion of an Australian Federal Police criminal history check and where relevant, a Working with Children and Vulnerable People Check.
- Completion of a medical declaration and preemployment medical (where required).
