In this predominantly autonomous position, you will report to the GM, Clinical Governance & Safe Care, with no direct reports, you will be responsible for managing the clinical auditing and standards program for Communities, supporting solutions to identified improvement areas, ensuring compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards, to ensure we consistently deliver our services with integrity and alignment to Catholic Healthcare's mission.


Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, together with your hands on approach and extensive knowledge of Aged Care Standards within Communities, will aid your success in this integral position.


Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Developing and analysing quality indicators across Retirement Living and Home and Community Services (Communities) to identify clinical and safety risks
  • Managing the clinical auditing/outcomes and quality standards program
  • Providing leadership, coaching and support to key stakeholders
  • Developing auditing and accreditation methodology and monitoring tools, as needed
  • Coordinating, monitoring and analysis of external audits and benchmarking
  • Implementing improvements to address identified noncompliance and risks
  • Assist with the coordination and investigation, response and follow up of high risk situations
  • Providing monthly and Board Reports on auditing status, organisational trends, deep dives
  • The ideal applicant will have the ability to drive operational performance and change management to meet targets together with the ability to influence and support colleagues to continuously improve service and quality of care. In addition to;
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or at least 10 years' experience in aged care or a similar role
  • Clinical qualifications/ Registered Nurse advantageous
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Aged Care Standards
  • Communities
  • Understanding of the aged care industry and consumer / stakeholder expectations
  • Track record of leading and enabling change in complex environments
  • Competent using computer systems, including Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety
  • Flexibility to travel
