What You Will Be Working On


Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, the AP Team Lead is responsible for the daily management of the AP Team ensuring all activities are delivered in a quality, timely, efficient and effective manner.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage and support the AP Team ensuring activities met within SLA's
  • Manage customer relationships ensuring consistent, efficient, and quality services provided including any timely escalations for resolution
  • Drive process improvements for the team and support change initiatives
  • Manage risk, ensuring adherence to compliance programs (FBT, GST etc.)
  • Oversee payments, reconciliations, end of month and year end processes
  • Support a culture of excellence for AP and FSS, consistent with ABN's purpose, vision and values

What Type of Person Will Be Successful


We're seeking someone with previous experience in managing teams with demonstrated skills in coaching, mentoring and supporting team members through their development.

  • Strong focus on people, customer, systems and process activities coupled with continuous improvement in a highvolume transactional environment
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills delivering to deadlines
  • Proven ability to manage priorities across multiple stakeholders
  • A positive, flexible, cando attitude to handle multiple deliverables
  • Process improvement mindset with a focus on standardisation, automation and refinement
  • Analytical skills leading to effective problem solving and decision making
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentational)
