The Company:

The team have collectively developed multiple renewable energy projects across Australia, Europe and the Pacific Region and are specialists in the land use, planning, engineering, energy and finance sectors.


The Role:


Reporting to the Engineering Manager the Technical Manager is responsible for assisting in the coordination and review of the design process for our clients Large-Scale Renewable Energy Projects.

This encompasses solar, wind and hydrogen.


Duties shall generally include:

  • Ensure materials technical compliance with AS and design requirements
  • Review design drawings and ensure site teams have the latest and correct versions of IFC
  • Evaluate incoming tender documents to identify and develop procurement and subcontract packages, in collaboration with Design and Engineering
  • Department.
  • Define pricing and subcontracting strategy for most effective project execution.
  • Understand clients' technical requirements and ensure that they are being met. Coordinate design aspects with Design Department engineers and consultants.
  • Evaluate quotations and tenders to ensure technical compliance before orders or contracts are placed.
  • Assist contracts manager in contract preparation.
  • Provide technical support to Procurement department.
  • Able to handle technical queries arising throughout the project for all disciplines.
  • Work closely together with Quality department to ensure client expectations are being met.
  • Provide technical guidance to construction management team and subcontractors, when requested.
  • Drafting and collating of information

Experience required:


  • BSc /Diploma degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical. MSc degree is desirable but not a must.
  • Proven knowledge of civil, mechanical, electrical, O&M buildings and substations related to renewable energy facilities.
  • Solid understanding of EPC and Sub-EPC contract execution and associated risks.
  • Deep knowledge of Australian and International Standards related to Renewable Energy Sector design and construction.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Package software(s).
  • Advance knowledge of AutoCAD 2D or similar.
  • Selfmotivated and able to work with mínimal supervision
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to change.
  • Possess strong leadership skills with the ability to lead by example.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deal with periods of high work volume.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written, including the writing of technical reports, procedures and method statements.
