Description

Seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Canteen Manager to join the team to play an integral role in ensuring the smooth operation of the canteen at our club.

This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking for some part-time work in a fun environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service within a community club.


Previous experience in a football club setting is not required, passion for the industry, a solid understanding of seasonal produce and how to develop a healthy menu catered to kids and adults is desirable.


Duties will include:

  • Providing high quality, healthy food to our customers in a professional manner.
  • Working with the Club Committee to ensure operational efficiency and canteen profitability.
  • Ensuring that all staff and volunteers comply with all relevant policies and procedures as outlined by the Club Committee.
  • Facilitate a happy, supportive and productive canteen environment, where canteen staff and or volunteers feel valued and welcome.
  • Management of canteen staff & volunteers
  • Provision of staff
  • Canteen operations during game days (Saturday/Sundays), training nights (Thursday), club functions (as required) and during carnivals (eg Rep footy or Finals hosting).
  • Effective communication
  • Stock management; be responsible for the economical ordering and checking of stock deliveries, as per the delivery docket.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records, including canteen monies for banking
  • Planning and involvement in special events


The canteen normally operates for 18-22 weeks of the football calendar (starting April); on Saturdays during both senior and junior match days along with meals prepared on Thursday nights training.

Food Handling Certificate - or willingness to work toward

Blue Card or willingness to obtain


The position is a paid position and further details, including remuneration (potential for a profit share/contracting arrangement can be arranged for the right person).


Job Types:
Part-time, Subcontract

Part-time hours: 10-15 per week


Salary:
$ $30.00 per hour
