Your new role
We have an opportunity for an experienced Research Coordinator, with outstanding interpersonal skills to join the team.

In this role you will be responsible for improving relationships between Perth and global campus researchers across all faculties located in Singapore, Mauritius, Dubai and Malaysia.

You will assist with implementing a Strategic Research Road Map and design research plans seeing them through to execution In addition, you will provide support to campuses to improve their research activity, with the aim to create efficiencies and maximise strategic and investment opportunities externally where possible.


Key duties and responsibilities include:


  • Liaise with campus Pro Vice Chancellors (PVCs) to link our researchers with researchers across campuses.
  • Raise the profile of the research and research potential in each of the campuses.
  • Support cross campus and faculty research opportunities.
  • Provide a conduit for campus PVCs to research office services and opportunities.
  • Assist with finding opportunities from Research Roadmaps for collaboration and industry engagement.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Completion of a relevant degree with considerable relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and/or education/training.
  • Experience cultivating long term and trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A strong understanding of the research environment in Australia.
  • Strong coordination skills with the ability to develop and implement research plans to achieve desired outcomes.
  • High level interpersonal and oral communication skills with the ability to consult and liaise effectively with a diverse range of people and with cross cultural sensitivity.
  • Demonstrated high level written communication skills with the ability to construct clear and concise project proposals and reports.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to prioritise multiple and often competing tasks with accuracy, attention to detail and within deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work well in a team, including respecting difference, leading and supporting others, accepting direction, and working to group goals.
  • Effective decision making and problemsolving skills.
