Kinetic Logging Services Pty Ltd is a division of EPIROC and is a leading supplier of Geophysical Services in Australia, with offices in Perth, Newman and Brisbane.


RTOC (Realtime Operations Centre)

  • Our business involves Geophysical Logging measurements made with various downhole tools conveyed by logging trucks which operate both night and day shifts. There are sitebased supervisors for the teams.
    1 x Permanent Full time positions

1 x Permanent Part time position - 3 days/nights per week

About the Role:

  • RTOC operates on a 24 hr, 7 day a week, 365 days a year and is staffed on a roster system.
  • Be available to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends on a rolling roster as the business requires
  • Some travel to site may be required, but the role is primarily based in our Kewdale headquarters
  • The RTOC operation supports the field operations from our Perth office and performs the following functions:
  • Call centre for support for the field operators
  • troubleshooting &technical assistance
  • Maintain and provide accurate log entries of faults with resolutions
  • Perform technical troubleshooting base on fault logs
  • Provide 1st/2nd level of technical support where necessary
  • Monitor OreSight Vehicle data Flow (Power BI, MIX, Telematic etc)
  • Troubleshoot Trimble Communication issues
  • Convert coordinate files to enable Trimble operation
  • Quality control OreSight log data
  • Maintain and update troubleshooting procedures for operational support and improved performance of the OreSight fleet.
  • Assist as required with writing incident reports.
  • Identify areas of potential improvement & development to increase productivity and reliability
  • Contribute to documentation as required
  • The logging units are custom built inhouse, and the RTOC team has access to, and the support of, appropriate experts to build the specific skills and knowledge relative to the equipment they need to support

About you:


  • Engineering, computer systems or science diploma from TAFE or University (preferred but not essential)
  • 12 Years of experienced with troubleshooting (an advantage);
  • Exposure to Electrical/Electronic/Instrumentation fault finding remotely (preferred but not essential);
  • Exposure to PLC/Instrumentation automation (preferred but not essential);
  • Exposure to Wire Line logging unit (preferred but not essential);
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills;
  • Good time management and communication skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple problems at once and prioritise issues;
  • Active listening and effective communication
  • Positive Can do attitude.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Clear communication in written and spoken English
