The opportunity:


Visy Logistics is a recognised leader in Australian freight services with comprehensive and competitive road, rail and domestic sea freight, intermodal and 3PL capabilities.

Our Visy Logistics team, located in Truganina, VIC, is currently seeking a fleet supervisor with exceptional operational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage relationships effectively across various business units.

Please note, all applicants must hold a current driver's license.

Reporting to the Transport Operations Manager, key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Ensure compliance with Legislative Requirements against all elements of CoR
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships and professionalism with all stakeholders, customers, drivers, and subcontractors and communicate effectively on planning and any delays that will affect their operation
  • Conduct proactive assessments of operations with the aim of enhancing efficiency
  • Manage and monitor driver's performance, leave entitlements, truck servicing, safety and hazard reporting and optimise company assets through double shifts, changeovers, and preloads to ensure each prime mover meets its utilisation at greater than 95%
  • Load planning & optimisation via solid analytical skills with the ability to systemically plan resources
  • Recognise opportunities to improve current processes and revenue margins through P&L accountability, understanding the impacts of revenue leakage and cost creep
  • Proactively managing subcontractors and associated costs

What you will bring to the team:

  • Significant experience in a similar role within the Transport and warehouse industry
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of OH&S, CoR & NHVR legislation
  • SAP, WMS & TMS knowledge is desirable
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fastpaced and challenging environment
  • A continuous improvement mindset with good change management experience
  • Ability to build strong relationships external and internally as this will be crucial to the success of his role
