Our client in
Beresfield, Newcastle is seeking an
Experienced Workshop Mechanical Fitter to join their company on a
permanent full time basis


Hours and Rate:

Monday-Friday

6am-2.30pm. Early Finishes on Fridays

$42.00ph


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Constructing heavy industry gear box
  • Conducting Rotary duties (sealings, bearings, bearing housings, spherical roller bearing units)
  • Conducting Linear bearings
  • Conducting Power Transmissions
  • Reinstalling bearing induction heater
  • Replacing and fixing Pumps and Brakes (drum and thruster, caliper and disc Brakes)
  • Operating 10 tonne over head crane
  • Operating 90 tonne hydraulic press
  • Operating 300 tonne hydraulic press
  • General maintenance

About you:


  • Must have
    Fitter Machinist Qualification:
  • Must have full working rights
  • Physically fit
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Safety conscious and the ability to adhere to WHS policies and procedures
  • Reliable, punctual and hard working
  • Experienced mechanical fitter
  • A good attitude and able to work autonomously
