Your New Position:


Liaising with a team of scientists, researchers, and industry users, your key responsibilities will be to provide essential laboratory assistance to staff, organise shipping of samples & scientific equipment and schedule various user groups for the limited laboratory space.


In this client facing position, you will liaise with various stakeholders to ascertain requirements as well as to manage expectations of various user groups.


You will:

Organise the necessary documents and permits for shipping

Ensure mandatory safety requirements have been met

Prepare and update laboratory documentation

Assist in new laboratory equipment procurement including sourcing quotes

Conduct risk assessments on all work to be conducted in the laboratories

Undertake minor maintenance and repairs for laboratory equipment


Your Background:

Tertiary Qualifications in Chemistry / Applied Science / Lab Technology or equivalent experience either as a technician or a user in a scientific research environment (e.g., universities, laboratories etc)

Experience or knowledge of hazardous chemicals is well regarded

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)

Proven ability to solve problems effectively and independently

Must be Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen
