THE ROLE

As the Education Coordinator, you are integral to the successful and effective development and delivery of all Whitelion services and programs within your span of responsibility.

You will work closely with the NSW State Manager to ensure our programs are designed and implemented at an exceptionally high standard to achieve set targets and fulfil our commitments to young people, as well as funding bodies, internal stakeholders, and the community.

As well as the successful and sustainable delivery of existing programs you will also support the increase of Whitelion's community presence and reputation and contribute strategically to our education development and growth strategy.

Your experience and capabilities include:
Role responsibilities

Effectively lead and manage a team of program Coordinators, Youth Workers and Casuals by articulating expected standards of performance, ensure quality supervision and coaching, program training and staff development.
Deliver your own frontline practice through program development and continuous improvement, young person engagement, workshop delivery and training staff in program content.
Motivate your team to provide trauma informed and young personcentered approaches to content delivery.
Develop, enhance, and promote good working relationships in the community, schools, the youth sector and key stakeholders.
Oversee budget and program contract management adhering to guidelines, KPI's, acquittals, and reporting.
In collaboration with the NSW State Manager plan and manage funding targets to achieve a balanced budget.
Undertake quality data management using Whitelion Youth's quality framework and systems
In collaboration with the NSW State Manager, identify opportunities to maintain or increase the funding of the programs and contribute to tender, grant writing and funding submissions as required.
Work with the State Manager to monitor and review contracts, funding and service agreements whilst maintaining a positive relationship with funding bodies. This includes ensuring program targets are met.
Work with program staff to ensure the quality and integrity of data and data collection practices.
Manage all critical situations which occur in youth programs and maintain safety of all young people and staff within these programs. Role requirements Experience
Demonstrated experience in the successful development, implementation and evaluation of community projects/programs and resources
Proven experience engaging young people through group facilitation and oneonone.
Providing strong team leadership and working productively as a positive professional role model
Team player who is approachable with strong interpersonal and listening skills together with the ability to empower.
Demonstrated understanding of youth development, trauma informed practice and Education system.
Quality data management and project administration skills.
Previous experience establishing, building, and maintaining strategic networks with external providers and potential funding bodies to improve service delivery and enhance collaborative working relationships.
Ability to design, develop, implement and review program materials and resources in accordance with project needs and funding guidelines
Ability to plan and manage resource acquisition requirements for operational programs to achieve a balanced budget and optimal client outcomes.
Experience in providing regular supervision and support to staff to ensure that key performance targets and reporting requirements are being met on time and to the required standard.
Demonstrated understanding of, and training in, relevant child protection legislation.
Results focused, selfmotivated and a selfstarter who goes above and beyond.

Qualifications

Current Working with Children card and willingness to undergo a Whitelion Police Check
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Youth Work, Social Work, Education, Community Development, or demonstrated experience in a relevant role. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment desirable or a minimum of 2 years' exp
