Position Summary

About the facility


The Geelong Hospital's new, state-of-the-art 24-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a level III, adult, mixed medical, surgical and cardiothoracic ICU.

Since 2010 it has also become a level II Paediatric ICU, and an ELSO (extra-corporeal life support) centre.

It is the only level III ICU in the Barwon South Western region, and is the fifth busiest ICU in Victoria.

Geelong ICU is committed to providing the best care possible for critically ill people in Western Victoria.

Excellent communication skills

Recent and/ or substantial paediatric ICU experience

Recent and /or substantial adult ECMO experience

Post Graduate qualification in critical care echocardiography ( completed or commitment to undertake)

Desirable:

ECMO cannulation and management course (completed or commitment to undertake )

Essential:
