We are seeking a
Coordinator who will support the Superintendent Mine Development to lead a large team of mine operators to ensure safety, people and production targets are met.

Working the 4,5,5 day/night lifestyle roster and reporting to the **Superintendent Mine Development
- Northern Operations**, you will be:
- Supporting a team of Mine Operators with their day-to-day operations
- Providing task instructions, arranging work area inspection, and setting up, shift logistics.
- Providing visible leadership and driving the safety culture.
- Continually coaching, mentoring, and upskilling team members
- Leading by example, communicating effectively, and ensuring the values of the business are adhered to.
What you will bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- A competent understanding of mobile plant equipment
- Ability to work with and lead a diverse workforce.
- Strong communication skills along with the ability to work in a team environment.

- Strong interpersonal skills with both internal and external stakeholders
- A 'C' class driver's license
- Computer literacy, including exposure to Microsoft Word, Excel

This position is a residential role in Weipa. The successful applicant may be supported with relocation if coming from outside of Weipa. This position is based at Northern Operations, so you will be based and work in Weipa.

Where you'll be working
Our Weipa operations in Far North Queensland include three bauxite mines, processing facilities, ship loaders, an export wharf, two ports, power stations, a rail network and ferry terminals.
Amrun, our newest mine, was completed in 2018 and will extend our Weipa bauxite operations by decades, significantly building on our 55-year history on the Western Cape and providing jobs and supporting business growth in the region.
We work closely with the Traditional Owners to implement our agreements, ensuring that the benefits generated from mining support future generations and that important cultural heritage sites are identified and preserved.
